In the spirit of giving we all gather to Turkey Party 2009.  This
Holiday Season we offer our support to Rosie's Place.  
(www.rosies.org)  

For four years Turkey Party has raised awareness and support for
necessary causes.  We strongly feel that one Saturday evening
and a small donation towards raffle items will go a long way in
helping victims get back on their feet.

This is your chance to do something good while eating something
good.  Imagine raising money just by going to dinner.  That's the
idea for Turkey Party.  There is no doubt that Turkey Party 2009
will be the greatest fund raiser since the start of Friends Against
Violence.  

We are coming off of an amazing year in 2008 where we raised just
under three thousand dollars for charity.

This year we're going to have a lot of new and fun activities for
everyone who attends.  We will have a DJ, raffle prizes, the famous
$1 CD Sale, Tony & Jay's Trivia Challenge, and of course more
food than you can imagine!!

As always we ask that everyone please bring a canned food or dry
good to get through the doors.  The food we acquire will all go
towards Rosie's food pantry and will be served to those less
fortunate.

This year we anticipate 100-150 guests at TP09 and we hope that
we provide enough food for everyone attending, as well as a
diverse medley of food and beverage.  To do so, we are requiring
that everyone must register themselves and what they plan to bring
to the pot luck dinner.  Also, please provide us with the number of
guests you plan on bringing.  

Here are some tips that will be helpful....

  • PLEASE BRING ENOUGH FOOD FOR AT LEAST TEN PEOPLE.
  • TRY AND BRING YOUR FOOD IN A HEAT-SAFE CONTAINER.
  • PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME SO OUR KITCHEN STAFF CAN PREPARE.

This year we will once again offer a full range of wonderful raffle
prizes.  Here are the raffle items in the order we received them.

Please join us Turkey Party 2009 on Saturday
December 5th at the Woburn American
Legion in Woburn, MA.  All the money raised
will benefit Rosie's Place located in Boston,
MA.  Remember its a potluck dinner so bring
enough food to feed at least ten people.
